Drupal

The Drupal SIG covers all things Drupal, the open source content management system (CMS). Since Drupal can run on many platforms, we will discuss using Drupal from the technical side. From basic content creation to configuring Apache, MySQL and PHP on Windows or Linux, we will cover it all. The current SIG focus is on moving the dacs.org website from static HTML pages to Drupal. Come and learn along with us.

News and Notes

After vacation and travel breaks we returned for the November meeting to talk about where we are in our implementation of Drupal for the DACS website. It did not take much convincing for everyone to agree that we should move to Drupal 7 now, rather than later. So we installed Drupal 7 on Bluehost. I also said that I would complete the move of the DACS domain name and DNS to Bluehost.

We can discuss DNS and how to manage the various settings whenever there is interest.

The next meeting of the Drupal SIG will be Thursday, December 8th, at 7pm in the DACS Resource Center.
