The best way to join DACS is to attend one of the monthly general meetings at the Danbury Hospital. General meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month.

General meetings are always free to the public, but only members benefit fully from DACS' many other events, activities, and publications. As a member you become part of a dynamic computer group in the Greater Danbury Area. You will receive a subscription to dacs.doc, our award-winning monthly newsletter, packed with news and information pertinent to computer users of all levels.

In addition to interesting feature stories, the newsletter contains a monthly calendar of events, a useful telephone HelpLine of member volunteers offering to share their expertise of many software products and problems, and a recap of the Random Access Q&A problem-solving session held at the general meeting.

Members may also attend the Special Interest Groups (SIGs), where topics relating to computers, peripherals, software, and operating systems are discussed. SIGs meet throughout the month at our Resource Center in downtown Danbury unless mentioned otherwise in the calendar. Special events of general interest to all members examine such issues as the Y2K computer bug. Occasionally, sessions for new-to computer users are also offered to members.

Individual/Family Memberships
Annual membership dues are $30.00 for individuals or for each family living at the same address. Annual memberships which include a printed newsletter are available for $45.00 a year.

Corporate Membership
Corporate membership, which includes ten (10) electronic memberships, costs $150 per year. Additional electronic memberships are available at $15 apiece.

Nonprofit Corporate Membership is discounted to $75 per year. For member counts over ten (10) add $7.50 each.

An electronic membership includes all the privileges of a regular membership except for a hard copy of the dacs.doc newsletter. One copy of the newsletter will be mailed to the principal contact, but digital versions may be downloaded via the DACS Website.

Corporate Sponsorship
Our Corporate Sponsorship program couldn't be simpler. Any advertiser who commits to a 2/9 of a page or larger ad in our newsletter, dacs.doc, for a period of no less than six consecutive months qualifies. The names of our corporate sponsors are listed in our newsletter and on our Website. (Where possible we will link to the sponsor's Website.)
